yeah i was wondering

all of my psp buttons work well
except my x button i mean my x button works just not like the other ones

it sort of make a noise when i press it and it doesnt really stick but it just doesnt feel like its working normal anymore.

I am wondering if anyone else ran into this problem and if there is a easy fix for it.

cause soon i plan on going on amazon or ebay and getting me a new face plate maybe a silver one so i wanted to take care of the button issue to.

also i have like 2 little dead pixels and about 3 stuck ones
its not a big deal.

but when i get like 10 dead ones i am going to ebay they sell
the whole replacement lcd with the lights built on it for 60 bucks so thats a pretty sweet deal and its real easy to put on.

well if anyone knows a quick fix for the X button lmk thanks.

You may have busted it a bit too much. A good idea to take the pressure off the X button is go into Recovery (hold R trigger when booting up) and swap the X for O as the main button. A pain but it preserves ur X button a bit longer.

Another thing is it could be the button itself isnt on the X pad enough hence it not working properly, the new face plate may solve it. Not 100% about that thou

Sounds like your psp is getting on a bit kanata, all them dead and stuck pixels, But seen as you have a 3.03oe- b im figuring your not to worried about warrenty, get the old number 0 electrical phillips out, take the face plate off and have a look.

what nero and sladey prolly are correct. If your PSP has been with you for a long time and seeing as you are a gamer (i presume), the X button may have stressed out on you and needs some checking or fixin. try to open your PSP and have a look but dont do it unless you know hwat your doin

well bishi bashi special is out the window for you then KANATA its a button bashing game comprising the x and o button unlucky maybe a bit of wd40 might help as you may have a bit o crap stuck under it
EDIT: by Nero
WD40 and electronics should not be mixed, WD40 is a water dispersant and not a lubricator.

:nutter: NEVER USE WD40 ON A PSP!

take the faceplate off, if your not sure how to do this check out the psp2tv video i posted yesterday, it runs through the full order to do this in.
take the rubber from under the keys and look at the small round bits that touch the board, if it has a slight shine to it you need to get a pencil eraser and rub the disk GENTLY until it has a matt finish again, put the psp back togetherand try it again.
if that doesnt work post again!

well see i got this psp with the box 2 movies and 2 games and a mem stick off this guy for only 100$ and it already had 1.5 firmware

so the only problem was like 2 stuck pixels and the x button just makes a bit of noise and if i hold it it seems like it will stick.

do you think i would be able to buy new buttons or would i have to get the whole circuit board or something.

at any rate i am going to hold off until i get a new face plate cause i think some of my stuck pixels might just be dust.

when i get the face plate though i do want to fix that button
i was just wondering if there is a place to buy what i need to fix it.and thanks for all the replys (-_-)
