Sorry shane this is where you get PWN'd. More and more in the competitive scenes companies are choosing the Xbox 360 over any other console. The PC is still huge mind you but in the WCG almost all the games (if not all (i'm drunk mind you) games) are on the 360. MLG, one of the biggest competitive LAN companies in the world, has its roots not only in the Xbox but in the biggest game of the Xbox and the Xbox 360's life, HALO.

Name the games which are played competitively at the national and the international level on the other consoles? CSS is kicking ass on the PC scene but very few games (if any) are beating the consoles and more specifically the 360. Hate to break this to you shane, but the PS3 sucks major balls right now. I'm sure its a great console but its not competitive enough for me. Running LAN events and playing for big money the PisS3 just doesn't get anyone up in arms with it being exlcuded.

One thing Live has done which PSN hasn't is shown some truely amazing competitive games. I mean it's shown some games which are already available on other consoles but nothing original. I saw mario striker one Wii and PES 06 being played on LAN for money but nothing that really stuck.

Live kicks ass and yes M$ are after money but you get what you pay for. That's why there are 10million+ members on live. So stick that in your pipe and smoke it! :own:

It must seriously suck to be you Shane if thats what u think online gaming is. I tend to play games with my mates rather than 12 yr old whiny american/canadian kids. As i got alot of friends who play games on LIVE theres no need to go playing anyone im lucky enough to join with like you do on ur POS3. We have a friends list in which we can make our own games and invite each other. Plus unlike you, theres never a shortage of online games to play either.

10 million players on LIVE, and roughly about 1 million on PSN (and they only signed up for the free Casino Royale Bluray, not for the shit online gaming). Not by chance that happened either. PS3 got like 5 games that are online, which are pretty much all in ur sig. EVERY 360 game released (around 200 and counting) is online, or has online elements.

So before you stick you mouth into gear without it consulting ur brain first, try talking a bit of sense or were gonna flame shit out of you for your plain stupidity.

um wow, nearly every PS3 game is online playable, so nice try, and while Xbox live itself is great, as you said you need to have a huge friends list in order to play with cool ppl, I have nothing against live itself, its the majority of the community I hate, as I already said in a previous thread I love Live, and I love the points system for completing objectives etc. however if you don't have a huge friends list playing with random people takes all the fun out of the experience, when I bought GoW for PC I got a 1 month gold trial, so I thought hey sweet I'll finally get to see what they're all talking about, but honestly the experience itself turned me away from Live, I'm sure if like you guys I had a huge Live friends list and never had to join a random game I'd be willing to pay like $60 for a yearly membership or w/e it costs, but I throughly enjoy my PC online and my PS3 online (the fact that I can use my bluetooth headset is great too)

so yeah while live itself is great and good if you're having clan battles or friend battles I'd much sooner stick with 1 million people out of which 4/5 are great people than 10 million where 4/5 are just retarded and shouldn't be allowed to socialize with others.

I have my PC if I want a true online experience (you really can't beat being able to pick exactly what kind of game you wanna play, and what server you play on etc.) for games like COD4 and orange box (mind you as everybody knows I have COD4 on both consoles) and other great small fun games that're out there like wolfteam and stuff, I'm sure I'll eventually get a 360 or 360 2 if and when I know that there's no problems with the system and when I have a friends list that guarantees I'm playing with more friends than random people.

Dude thats teh same with any online service i've found. PC gaming made me stay away from PC gaming for pretty much good because of the bad experience online until i realised that PC, Xbox 360, PS2 online etc are all the same. It's not about a console, its about humanity.
