KV

I haven`t found any problems, sometimes it may depend on the game in particular though, not sure how but it can:dontknow:

usaully all tv sets now are multi-system.
They will both be pal and ntsc.
my tv set is 17 years old and it's both systems.
if color coruption while playing games, that will be the system and the modchip.

And KV, good list man. Thanks
Hope to see more games.
and anyone with a wii and a wiikey, try other games and post the findings and playablity of these games.

correction for the super paper mario: you will not need to update your system if you are using the same region copy of SPM coresponding to your system, if you are not updated and using a different region copy, it will start trying to update your wii with the wrong firmware and therefore brick your wii.

to avoid this:
-Play all SAME region games a.k.a US consoles refer to NTSC
-Update via internet so no confusion

as i said i have my wiikey its just my installer is very busy but he will get around to it, i have already 10 or so games almost done downloading so i'll help u out with this list, ok kv?

Yeah sure, all help welcome. Regarding my comment about ensuring wii is updated on net before playing Paper mario, there are two reasons for my statement there,

First: a user may not be 100% sure what region their game is, so therefore don`t know if it would install the correct firmware to their Wii, wrong firmware results in bricked Wii.

Second: You cannot be garunteed that the firmware that is in a ISO isn`t even slightly corrupt, if there was any corruption that would again lead to a bricked Wii.

So, the safest thing to do is update the Wii through the net.

Well if you want is a console with great great graphics like Xbox 360 no, but if you don`t mind good graphics but really fun gameplay then yes.

Also I`m sure you can get wii`s to buy that are already modded but of course depending where you get it you are not guaranteed the chips quality etc. I`m sure I saw some on Ebay, just be careful as always.

BTW, compatibility list updated.

yo dudes
currently i'm enjoying my wii very much.
but now i have to ask.
currently, i'm getting gamecube games to play on my wii.
how compatible is the wiikey with gamecube backups, with different regions, knowing that mine is an ntsc system.
and is it true that i won't need to burn the games on mini dvds and can burn them on regular dvds?

KV

There isn`t a compatibility list that I know of for gamecube on wiikey so it may be hit and miss. As far as I am awar gc games should be fine on dvd, but personally I haven`t used my wii for gamecube

I took the pleasure of finding the Compatibility List for Gamecube games on a Wii Key.

For NTSC-U Wii's click this link - *NTSC-U Wii GC List* (http://wiki.gbatemp.net/index.php/Gamecube_Compatibility_List#Compatibility_List_for _NTSC-U_Wiis)

For Pal Wii's click this link - *PAL Wii GC List* (http://wiki.gbatemp.net/index.php/Gamecube_Compatibility_List#Compatibility_List_for _PAL_Wiis)

Hope that helps :icon_tup:

Just letting you know that Pokémon Battle Revoultion NTSC works with the Brick Blocker on my 2.2e pal wii with Wiikey :)

I've got some more games that work that I've already got burnt, but I don't know what region they are... how can I find out so I can add them to this list?

The Bigs NTSC also works. Great game, looking forward to playing this one online!

Chicken Shoot NTSC didn't load... screen goes black, wii crashed

Resident Evil 4 NTSC works perfectly for my jap set and it rocks.. but the graphics kinda took a step back...

comeonchuffy

couple more that work ok...
Warioware Smooth Moves PAL
Rampage Total Destruction NTSC
World Seris of Poker Tournament of Champions NTSC
Cooking Mama PAL
Mortal Kombat Armageddon NTSC
Shrek III PAL
Spiderman 3 NTSC
Rapala Pro Fishing NTSC (patched with regionfrii and wiibrickblocker)

Chicken Shoot NTSC just refuses to work

Resident Evil 4 NTSC works, but make sure your Wii TV settings are set to 60hz

19/07
Fantastic Four Rise of the Silver Surfer PAL works just fine, nice looking game
G1 Jockey PAL - works beautifully, although it is a bit like a game of one-man twister... got the best look through my lounge window, someone walking by stopped to watch me smacking my own backside with the wiimote... ride em!

Yo, Any you guys tried Alien Sydrome yet?

07-26-2007, 05:01 PM
Seen reports that people have tried it with regionfrii patcher and the update remover, swapped 50hz/60hz but doesn't want to play ball... hopefully the mythological wiikey update will sort that for us
:pelao:

oh, and the game's supposed to be balls anyway :)

Dont bother with Escape from bug island too! If ninty think that this kind of crap is gonna keep their system around they need to wake up.... It looks terrible and plays like a drunk pull on a Saturday night ;(

Sticking to RE4 for now! Thought Alien syndrome might be poo... The 2D arcade was sweet as ;)

resi 4 shit me up! i'm shooting the cat, my reflection in the window in front of me, the leaf that brushed across the bakc window, got so twitchy I had to turn it off :mock:

Big Brain Academy (PAL) works just fine, those of you who added friend codes will find my records in your mailboxes... I'm not quite ready to challenge Dr Kawashima to a game of chess, but I'm quite proud of my first time 'brain weight'!
